A Healthy Break for Everyone

You want to keep your loved one in your care – but it’s good for everyone to get a break. Socializing and stimulation for your loved one. A healthy break for you. That’s where Coleman Adult Day Services can help.

The Coleman Difference

We’re different than most other area adult day services and socialization services. We offer all of the activities, amenities and care – plus a unique, progressive medical model of health care with an intimate staff ratio of 1:6. We offer personal hygiene attention, bathing and incontinence care.

It takes a team to give every participant the experience they deserve. Each team includes:

  • Participant (your loved one)
  • Family/caregivers
  • Physicians, nurses and staff at Coleman Adult Day Services
  • Activity Director

Our friendly accessible facility

Our building at 6695 N. Chestnut Street in Ravenna is a bright, inviting, clean facility with a variety of rooms for our participants. Our adult day participants are comfortable throughout the day in any of these settings.

We offer:

  • Activity rooms for socializing and various group activities
  • Lunch room – with meals planned by a dietitian (accommodating special diets)
  • Kitchen
  • Outdoor patio
  • Quiet room with comfy chairs

An in-depth initial intake with each participant and family/caregivers to create a personal Plan of Care for each participant. This assures caregivers that we know the exact, intimate needs of our participants.

Activities

Coleman provides a comprehensive range of wellness-promoting activities that cater to the interests, hobbies and goals of our participants.
Therapeutic Diets Icon

Therapeutic Diets

Therapeutic diets planned by a registered dietitian to make sure there’s proper nutritional intake. We will prepare thickened liquids, pureed food or accommodate specific fluid restrictions.

Fall Risk Assessment Icon

Fall Risk Assessment

Falls for seniors can be fatal. We monitor Coleman participants to try to avoid this from happening. When a new participant comes to us, they receive a Fall Risk Assessment. Based on this, we apply preventative practices to greatly decrease the risk of falling.

Affordable — Plus

We work hard to make our program affordable to all who will benefit from our services – and we can help you secure even more assistance with grants. One example of assistance is the Title XX grant which can help make three days of social visits per week – including care, meals, socialization and exercise – be acquired at a decreased daily rate.

Let’s talk about how to access all the funding you are entitled to, in order to provide the care you and your loved one deserve.

Bathing and Other Hygiene Services

For an extra fee, we offer bathing and other services. This especially reduces caregiver stress with Alzheimer’s patients, who are often very resistant to being bathed. Our staff provides bathing that’s often safer for both participant and caregiver in our handicapped accessible shower room.
