The Coleman Professional Services-run Nonprofit Has New Safety Protocols, Upgraded Facilities, and Excited Staff Ready to Restart Adult Daycare Services for Residents of Portage County and Beyond
(April 26, 2021, Ravenna, Ohio) – Coleman Adult Day Services, an adult daycare organization operated by Coleman Professional Services, will celebrate its grand reopening on May 3, 2021.
“We are thrilled to restart this important program that so many people rely on to ensure their loved ones get the support and care they need while they work during the day,” said Nelson Burns, CEO of Coleman Professional Services. “The pandemic has been challenging for many people, and our team is overjoyed to return to serve!”
Current guidelines from public health authorities will allow Coleman Adult Day Services to welcome back clients each day, as well as a variety of staff. Returning staff, which currently only includes those who are vaccinated, will be required to wear masks, practice physical distancing, participate in daily temperature checks, and conduct morning and afternoon sanitizing activities.
The organization’s mission is to provide a comfortable, engaging, and personalized experience for their clients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia and adults with developmental disabilities – while also providing peace of mind to their loved ones.
The focused mission helps Coleman Adult Day Services be different than other adult daycare services, because it offers activities, amenities and care – plus a unique, progressive medical model of health care with an intimate staff ratio of 1:6.
Additional facility upgrades include a new air filtration system that uses UV light to purify and sterilize the air.
The adult daycare temporarily stopped services in the Fall of 2020 due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, according to Robert Steinheiser, Chief Officer of Coleman Adult Day Services.
“It was the wisest decision for both our staff and our clients to temporarily pause late last year,” Steinheiser said. “However, we made the most of that time, building on our already strong foundation and we are thrilled to be able to safely serve our community with our unique services once again.”
