Portage County Memory Café
(Previously Dementia Support Group)

First Tuesday of Each Month @1pm

Do you or a loved one have memory concerns or early signs of dementia? Join us that the Portage County Memory Café! Where individuals with memory changes changes and their care partners, family, and friends can laugh, learn, and stay connected in a safe atmosphere!

We meet the first Tuesday of every month at Reed Memorial Library in Ravenna from 1:00pm – 2:00 pm. Each month we have a featured topic and guest speaker!  

  • Tuesday, August 6, 2019: Flex Your Brain Memory.
    Engage both your body and mind with stretching exercises lead by Lori Lilly from Angel Care Home Health.
  • Tuesday, September 3, 2019: Cranium Crunch
    Enjoy trivia fun with Coleman Adult Day’s very own Activities Director, Madeline Hakin.
  • Tuesday, October 1, 2019: Singing the Blues
    Chris Stoeberman, LSW, talks about the sun and how that can affect your mood.

Farewell to Summer Dance

Join the seniors at Coleman Adult Day Services for our Farewell to Summer Dance on August 8 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. DJ Michael will be playing hits from several decades and light refreshements will be provided.

31st Annual Right at Home

Begins at 6:00 pm

This year’s extra special event will be held at the gorgeous Barrington Estates home of Dr. Fadi Abbass in Aurora, OH. 

Each year the benefit features an art auction with artwork by local artists in various media: paintings, pastels, jewelry, woodwork, art glass and more. Simultaneously, guests have the opportunity to participate in a Not-So-Ordinary Silent Auction featuring packages including dinners, vacations, performances, and more. 

Most uniquely, guests who attend Right at Home have the opportunity to purchase a mystery wine from the Wall of Wine, which include two $100 bottles of wine donated by two generous Coleman supporters. 

And this year’s event will also feature a speakeasy room with Burbon Tasting as well as live music!
